70 NOVA FENDER LOUVERS

ARE THE CHROME EDGES EXPOSED ON THE LOUVERS OR ARE THEY COMPLETELY PAINTED OVER BODY COLOR? THANKS, JEFF

I may be wrong here, but if you had a combination of exterior trim/brightwork packages the edges were left exposed chrome and these louvers came fully chromed from the factory. If you had no exterior trim, louvers were painted 100% body color and, I believe, these louvers came from the factory with no chrome plating (diff p/n). Some others may be able to confirm this.?

This is correct.

I had a 69 L78 Nova with zero exterior trim and the louvers were solid paint, no chrome edge. There may be changes to this scenario from year to year.?

The 1969 &amp; 1970 SS cars had the louvers with the chrome edge...all the cars were available with a variety of exterior trim options...please see the links below:

The SS has a different part nbr than the all chrome exterior décor piece. The NOS SS louvers come primed with the edge left chromed.

I had a new 70 Nova SS without any exterior trim and the plain jane interior and the louvers were body color and the edges were chrome......
