I know who has it. The advertising is in California. A MOD TOP was displayed at MCACN this past year.
Excellent thread on the issue here: http://camaropacecars.com/eve/forums...3/m/2330062215 |

That vintage info and pics are "way too cool".
I thought up till now Chrysler was the only psychedelic car manufacturer/customizer in the late sixties. Paul |

I thought up till now Chrysler was the only psychedelic car manufacturer/customizer in the late sixties. </div></div> Well, Chrysler was not the first company to use bright colors - Chevrolet had Rallye Green and Pontiac had Carnival Red as an extra-cost color for 1968. And we probably could start a debate on what is "Mod" and what is "Psychedelic" but I don't necessarily consider paisley or houndstooth psychedelic. Decals that say "The Judge"? Those are psychedelic to my eyes, as if they've been copped from a Fillmore West poster. Old Plymouth illustrations where the car is distorted also strike me as psychedelic. Otherwise, I'm not sure I'd characterize this item as Chevrolet's, as I think it was another company that made it for Chevrolet dealerships to sell. Some pretty neat stuff in that Camaro link! I know I've seen it before but it's been awhile. ![]() |

![]() Great linked thread, thanks for that Phil! Lots of cool stuff but that "gasket" looking paint job is really something...mod wheel paint too? We looked at that AMT catalogue here not too far back, again the same parts as used on the Mander Vancouver Camaros. Looks like the same Mander ad car in the AMT catalogue too...compare the yellow car details including nose stripe etc. ~ Pete ![]() ![]() ![]()

I found this thread and was wondering if I could revive it and answer any questions on the Mod Top.
I am also a member on Team Camaro and thought some may be interested in a thread I posted over there. http://www.camaros.net/forums/11-ben...op-camaro.html Roger |

Yes Bruce that was the second year I was there. I believe it was 2015. I was also there last year to celebrate the 50th anniversary, Class of 67. All three years I have been there they have been very good to the Mod Top Camaro. It's a real nice show.
Thanks for posting those pictures. Roger |
