Default NOS Dash Pad

For Sale ....NOS 69 Camaro Black Dash Pad Non-AC . Has the bald spot . Original GM box is not included. $2,200 plus shipping and insurance. Doug 614-203-1272. Thanks SYC

The factory dash pads did not have a bald spot....The NOS ones do....it helps prove it is Real GM . It's in the middle of the pad just above the heater control ...within 2"

I'm confused. I thought "factory" meant original & "NOS" factory correct replacement. If this is true both would have the bald spot, only incorrect repro does not.

The dash pads installed at the factory were produced from the molds when they were fairly new - so no bald spot. As the molds wore, the &quot;grain&quot; pattern wore out in that spot located opposite one of the injectors. So the later, NOS, over the counter replacement pads had the worn spot in them.

That's correct Bergy....some guys use a heat gun to massage this spot to recreate the natural grain. I only see one of these come up for sale about ever 12-18 months. Over the last 12 years I have been able to purchase 3 of them. By the way Joe ..I heard they found M22 on your firewall while working on it at Arone Restorations
