A beautiful car, great color combo. Rare to see A/c on this body style. Observed that the cowl tag has a 12D build date and the broadcast card shows 5th day of Jan, which was on a Monday, never seen a gap like that before.

The "gap" between a car body scheduled to be built on Christmas week and finished a few days after the New years weekend doesn't seem unusual to me at all and the body style had no restrictions regarding the ordering of A/C or any of the other equipment on the car. It seems that someone other than a racer may have wanted a "Post" car for a multitude of possible reasons.

Here is another identical date example from the classic olds site.

"My 70 Vista Cruiser has 12D stamped on the cowl tag and 01/70 on the blue sticker on the door. The date on the broadcast card is 1-5-70."

vin on mine is 234437 , wagon is 234806
