My Wife's aunt bought this 2004 hd 2500 4/4 brand new. I always would try and borrow it but she would say not a chance no one borrows my baby. She ended up getting hit back in august and the insurance totaled the truck. The insurance company offered it back to her for next to nothing so she contacted me to see if I was interested in the truck. So of course I bought it figured alittle work and some sheet metal I would have a decent truck. turns out the frame was not repairable. So I found a frame and rebuilt the truck (almost done) in 6 days. I rebuilt all the suspension, new brakes and brake lines, and a new fuel lines while I had it apart. Everything goes as planned I should have a 1/3 into this truck versus what their selling for. I needed another project like I needed a hole in my head. Here's a few pics

One of my lads just went through the exact same thing on his '03.
On his fourth vehicle at 19 he wrote it off two weeks after getting it back from the paint shop. Youth and time on his side he had a used frame swapped in and was back on the road in just 10 days! Same as you he did fresh brake and fuel lines while apart also a frame cleaning and blackening. The used frame and body parts were cheap although a Chevy nose now on a GMC. Well played, sir. I have lusted after one of those trucks ever since they came out. I'm in Clarkston, too, so I'll keep an eye out for it. (this one is mine, in case you see it around) - ![]()
