I never knew Motion called them the "Super Shark" I always thought they were the " Phase III" or the "Mako Shark" . I guess you can learn something everyday. Ask Marty, I bet he would know.

If I remember correctly, the Super Shark was a one-off show car that Joel Rosen built for himself and to promote Notion Performance at car shows. It wasn't a model line or a Phase III GT.

----Back somewhere around 1971 when I realized that Maco Sharks were being built in Ipswich Ma. by a guy named Silva I had to check it out. Ipswich was only an hour and a half from my Moms house so no biggie. Johns shop wouldnt impress anyone today but back then I couldnt believe what he was doing. Cutting up virtually new Corvettes to that degree was some thing really revolutionary to my 20 year old mind. At that time I would have loved to do that to my 69 but couldnt begin to afford it. Years later at Classic Motors in Hinsdale Ill. we ended up with a pretty nice Maco. Dont have any idea who built it but they painted it blue metalflake and had what seemed like 20 gallons of clear on it that was going south! I drove it home from work a couple of times but since it was a pretty standard 390hp/400 turbo combo I got tired of it pretty quickly. With a lot full of 435s to drive I was a bit jaded back in those days......Bill S
