In my barn hunting I found a 4 leaf 12 bolt camaro, but has manual discs did they do this? what other things would I look for to determine if it is a Z28, no engine or trans it is a 4 speed car.

There are some other clues to look for also.
Single 3/8" Fuel line and sending unit. Specific emblems, holes and placement. Look for signs of original white paint stripes in the cowl vent area. Close Ratio Pitman Arm Tachometer Red line etc. |

Im going to check the car out again, I was looking at another one there then started thinking about the rear springs last night on the 68, It was originally lemans blue on blue but in the 70's 80's era im guessing it got one of those real nice custom dark blue light blue and yellow zig zag stripes I smoke alot of dope paint jobs.... so no emblems I will check the back side of the fenders and glove box, tac etc this time.

Glove box sticker not proof anymore. Documented 15" wheel option found on that 68 SS with the same sticker that Z/28's had.

It is my understanding that these items only came on the Z28 and L78 cars. L78 is also a rare piece and highly sought after. I may be wrong and if so I look forward to the education that this post will bring.

No one part will 100% guarantee that you have a '68 Z28, especially 45 years after it was built. The car itself, the history and the summation of the original cumulative parts etc...can help narrow the possibilities.
I have seen 1968 15"glove box wheel stickers on cars that never actually came with 15"s. 3/8" line was also 2bbl V8s. |

I would say it is a pretty good sign based on the other things he has mentioned.
