There is a vin number stamped on the block . I will get it off and see what it is.

I think there were some (late in the model year) '69 Z/28's that had the 4-bolt main version of the 3970010.
I'm gettin' old, so the memory may not be so hot though... |

my 05A 69 z has the 010 block. havent seen an earlier vin with one.
