Default Dealers down South?

Were there any dealers in the Southeast that sold the COPO cars or did dealer installed 427 or 454 upgrades?

Fla had Indian River Chev. I am not sure who the Hi-po dealer in ATL was at the time, my dad moved out of ATL in 63-64 but he remembers Nalley sponsoring some race cars at that time.
Padgett Chev in Downtown Greenville did some hi-po work, as did Stott Chevrolet in Landrum, South Carolina (very close to Tryon, North Carolina) Quain Stott and I talk a few times a year. He still has the 67 L35 4spd Camaro Conv

Jim Little traded in on the 70 Camaro which Harrell built into the Drag racer that Kim Howie restored.

There was a local Daytona Yellow COPO in Birmingham, it had 25k miles on it and sold out of a local (to Birmingham) auto trader in Feb-March of 2001. The car appeared to be a Double Copo, I talked to the Wife and her husband was going to be out of town until Friday afternoon, (I was there for Business on a Wed and was on a charter so I had to return that day) She said I was the first to call she would have him call me first. She stated her husband had owned the car since the early 70's. She couldn't remember him ever having the car painted... 20/20 hind sight I should have stayed and let the plane go back without me!
