Does anyone know of a source for the plugs that screw into the early closed chamber BBC factory aluminum heads? Were they used in other applications?
Thanks, Jason |

Jason,
You might try to match one of the plugs from McMaster-Carr. http://www.mcmaster.com/#aluminum-pi...-plugs/=9qr1yf Hope this helps. Eric |

The plugs came today. They look very good. A little tuning will be needed to make them look as original but very nice for generic units.

Thanks, for those interested they were about $6 each from McMaster-Carr. They would work well to make 074 or 077 heads look earlier externally. Although the exhaust ports and snowflakes look different on earlier heads, I think most just look for the plugs. Good idea for a clone since the open chamber heads are generally better performers.
