Here's a picture of the 69 Sports Department sign that was in one of our local high school papers way back in 1969.
 The picture was taken in the showroom of South Bend Gates Chevrolet.

I have one of those lighted signs in those pictures that hung in the dealership here in town. It is the one with the redline tire and mag hubcap "CHEVROLET SPORTS DEPT" what is something like that worth, as i have never seen another one like it as well. Geoff.

I have collected nearly every single Chevrolet Sports dept. promotional item ever made,
from it's inception beginning in April 1968,to all the way up to 1976 during the Olympics. They didn't offer the 69 Sports Dept. sign light as a double,only a single. It was never offered that way in any of the ad material,and it's frame design won't allow it. Here's just one I found hanging in Fencl-Tufo Chevrolet many years ago without any flaws.
