Ok so my friends 70 chevelle ss has rabbit ears this car is
a US car with build sheet and window sticker. I asked my other friend who had 5 chevelles in his scrap yard and 2 monticarlos .He went out to see if they had rabbit ears and 2 of the chevells did and the other did not I have seen them on other chevelles in scrap yards in the old days and wondered what they were for?? So did all chevelles orig come with rabbit ears????And what were they used for?? PJ ![]() |

If I understand the component you are referring to, i think it ensured a grounding contact between the hood and the cowl when it was closed and helped reduce interference with the radio.

I've got a friend who has rabbit ears when we play golf.
Everytime he hits a bad shot somebody made a noise 2 fairways over!

Are you talking about the hood stop bolts that are designed to keep the hood from going through the windshield in a front end accident?
They are about 2 1/2" long and are bolted into the top of the cowl. |
