Might be a re-post, anyways...An old froum member that goes by "Whitetop" had his wheels done. I beleive they went out to Stockton.
Process was something like grind welds, seperate aluminum centers, restor each then weld them back together. Def worth it for non-unilig wheels! |

For anyone interested the price is $225.00 per wheel. The center section of the wheel has to be removed from the rim, with each piece plated separately and then reasembled. The process of separating the 2 pieces can be tricky (especially on corroded wheels) and the center can be destroyed. The turn a round is 6-8 weeks.

Anyone bought the direct drill 15x4.5 they are still
Made do they have the wide band around then. Do they have the round spike in time yes but have not seen them myself As for rechroming 15x4 anyone done. One lately? Pricing? Any ideas on keeping them from rusting? I’ve lalways heard to polish them using aluminum foil. If anyone has one 15 x4 let me know I have one starting to get slight pits and since my car was a race car I need to keep it looking as it did. |

If it was $225 per wheel in 09, I can't imagine it is less then $500 today.

Who knows. Just know while mine are fairly nice they won’t last forever. I try but you know how that goes Mother Nature is trying to break down everything all the time even US .
If anyone has thoughts on how to keep them from getting worse please let me know. Thought about using this clear in that area just to keep them free of moisture of any kind . Thoughts? Last edited by turbo69bird; 01-19-2023 at 11:44 PM. |

As far as cleaning, WD40 works great. I use a scotch pad that will then be discarded.
