Re: 1972 442 4 Speed With A/C
Here is what the owner had to say about this 442. "This is a very nice original 442 that is documented with a Build Sheet and Protecto Plate. It was owned by the second owner for 30 years, and was well taken care of. Here are some of the options on the car. Working A/C , Rally Pack with Tic Toc Tach. Seat Belt warning on top of the Dash. Inside Hood Lock. Tinted Glass, Power Steering, Disk Brakes, 3:42 Posi. M20 4 Spd. 350 4 Brl. that has not been taken apart. The water pump and other maintenance items have been replaced. Has Bucket Seats, Bumper Guards, SS Wheels, white stripes and the W29 442 option, AM radio. I do not have the original radio. The interior is in very nice condition except for the drivers seat. The original Carpet is showing some ware in certain spots. The 2nd owner had the car repainted in the 80's the orig. Saturn Gold color. At the time it was painted he also had the car undercoated. The rims were painted body color also, but should be originally grey. At the time of the repaint the right hand fender was repaired due to a small rust spot, and stone chips behind the tires. This is when the Splash guards were installed.. The owner could not find an original shifter boot when it went bad, so a Hurst Super Boot was put on years ago. The paint is fairly nice after 25 years but does have some small bubbles behind the tires and some small scratches on the body. There is a small oil leak, and may need a radiator hose. It also could use a couple front tires. The car has a chalk mark under the hood reading 442 ,this may be an original marking from the factory. It also has the original spare in the trunk and original trunk carpet. The car runs and drives great!"
