Anybody out there using a battery topper on their modern battery? Where did you get them and did you also buy the extensions for the terminals? I see they also fit new AC Delco batteries.

I have one in my 69 Camaro and I think I got it from Ground Up but it has been several years.
No I did not get the terminal extentions, and did not need them anyway. My last battery was a 7 yr old AC Delco and it had a flat top. Last fall I went to replace it and the guy brings out the same # AC and now they have those stupid square caps ![]() I ended up with a battery from NAPA that has a flat top. The whole thing is a tight squeez in a Camaro but it does the job. Mike |

It might help to buy the correct battery topper first and take it with you to get the battery. I found out that not all batteries have the correct spacing between the terminals. The toppers do look good. Almost all the people that have looked under my hood thought it was a real battery. The Delco Eye is the only real dead give-away of a battery topper, looking at the top. Please excuse my "patina"!
