Winter Granny Project..

I decided to do some cosmetic work to the 69 granny Nova I bought 2 years ago. This is one solid car!!! It had a lot of little dings and scratches that needed attention so I brought it to one of my clients for a "freshening up". They have an "old school" guy there who has done a lot of resto work and he is really enjoying working on this 40 year old survivor. He has gone over the whole car and fixed all the little stuff...he only found one minor rust spot the size of quarter on the lower dogleg of the pass. side front fender. This car was well cared for and certainly wasn't left out in the weather..it should look real nice when we are done. Here are some pics I took today at the shop...we spent sometime going over the car and planning the next step.

I pulled out the back seat and found 2 build sheets...one was the correct one for the car, the other was dated the same day with the same interior...but different body number and paint color. Who said the factory never made a mistake

first one in seat bottom...incorrect

Correct build sheet was in the top half of the back seat

Lots of little original details...like the inspection mark in the trunk.

Post the info on the other broadcast sheet. You never know, the car may be around.

It wasn't much...just a plain jane L78, bench seat 4 spd

ok, not really...seq:366 04/16/69 11427 WRN 3624x3 (rust mark on the 5th digit) 731 40 40

nothing entered in any of the other boxes...strange

I can see how they made the mistake...same black plain jane interior. So, somewhere another Nova is running around with the bottom half of a back seat meant for this car..
