Default Yenko Camaro on Wikipedia

This forum has the most knowledgeable Yenko experts there are. Does anyone here monitor the Yenko Camaro page on Wikipedia? First off there is not a lot of information or even a link to this forum on the web page.

Secondly I don't think this info is 100% accurate:

"As of Sat. Jan. 17th 2009 at the Barret Jackson Auto Auction, an original, silver 4spd Yenko went for $100,000"

I think they are referring to the Holub rebodied Yenko which sold for about $130k.. ?? but it isn't silver.....

Well it looks like someone made some changes to the web page:

"Almost 40 years later, these Camaros have been appraised and sold for well over $2.2 million USD at Barrett-Jackson auctions. As of sep 2008, there are 2 known automatic transmission 1969 Yenko Camaro's. as stated by ESPN auction show."

Nice to know Wikipedia values your Yenko Camaros at $2.2mil each!!

Someone also changed the line I had quoted in my original post:

"As of Sat. Jan. 17th 2009 at the Barret Jackson Auto Auction, a rebodied, silver 4spd Yenko went for $121,000."

Interesting..... Wikipedia is only as good as the people maintaining the web page.

"As of Jan 17th 2009, a REAL ZL-1 Copo, dark green, re-bodied, went for $290,000 at the Barret Jackson Auto Auction Lot 12773. Mr. October Reggie Jackson was bidding on this car but didn't win it. Another yellow, original body, non original heads with Auto transmission for $270,000. Both are said to be a steal and the deals of the show."

I believe anyone can contribute info to the site just by signing up. The folks running that site are not "know-it-alls" they just enter data.

(garbage in ~ garbage out) Thanks Algore!!
