			I agree that it would be bad for the different sports.  But it is also bad P.R. to spend millions on race teams while you are asking the American people for a handout. |

			NASCAR gives GM about their biggest bang for the buck in their advertising programme.  They might cut back but I doubt that Jimmy Johnson will be gone.  I've heard that GM spends several thousand dollars per vehicle in advertising.  I'm sure that they will be looking pretty closely at where all this money is going.  I've also heard that approximately 80% of a well run company's business comes from referrals.  It doesn't matter whether it is the corner store or GM.  Some never learn this vital little point.  GM is learning a little late.
