The car has been sitting in a garage since last driven in 1982.Before that time it was used quite regularly.I bought the car from the owners widow,so I did not get much in the way original history on the car.The car appears to be an original high horse fuelly,it has the correct high horsepower tach, posi rear end,4 sp,top tank aluminum radiator and a rochester fuel injection unit #7017320 is in the trunk.
I trailered the car home and drained the gas tank and squirted oil down the cylinders before I turned the car over by hand. After a week I changed the oil put some gas in it and fired the car up,It started almost immediately and seams to run pretty well, but the brakes need done so I have not driven it except up the driveway. The motor in the car looks to be a '65 300hp 327 corvette motor with a 350hp intake and a holley carb.It has the original generator and high horse aluminum top tank radiator.
The paint on the car is marroon with period type murals on the hood and deck lid.The paint looks nice in pictures but is at best a 5 footer with some small nicks and scratches as you would expect. The body under the paint appears to be very nice with very good body fit,but does show signs of previous repair on the driver side front fender. The chrome is all there but will need to be replated but is not bent or rusted out and does have decent shine to it.The car has an old set of Fenton Mags with some old Drag Rite Seventies tires. The interior looks pretty decent. The seats, dash pad, gauge cluster and door panels are original and show decently. The carpet is in need of replacing. It is missing the original radio with some later model one installed at some point in it's life. The car has both the tops with the soft top being stored down all of these years will need to be replaced. The hard top looks real good. The frame does have a hole in it about 6in. long on the passenger side near the rear wheel well. The rest of the frame looks pretty solid from what I can see laying on the ground under neath it.
This car has a ton of potential and would make a very high dollar car when restored or with a little work could probably driven around as it is as this car looks like a real cool period piece right now.
