70 Nova vin/66 Corvette barn find

Came across a 70 CKO Nova motor today 10w395989. Does it belong to any car you might know?

Also helped the guy who bought the motor pull out a 66 Corvette convert/hdt. 427/425 4.10 rear. Been setting since 74. Bought new from Lujack Scherbrock in Davenport IA. Still with the original owner. A barn find in the truest sense. Pics to follow, but it may be a while. Yes, they're still out there.

That block came from a late build car...the VIN is about 7,000 later than our 70 Autumn Gold car which was built in early July 1970. That motor may be one of the last ones built for the 70 L78's.

Very nice! Is that a lakewood scattershield in the back of the 'vette engine bay.

Seems the original flywheel/clutch went through the floor once. Almost took off his foot. Scatter shield seemed a pretty good idea.
