Default Neat little car story

I went to our local village today to get my hair buzzed from the lady who has been doing it for years. She asked me if I had any plans for Labour Day weekend and I said "I'm taking my old car to a show being put on by our Club". She asked what the car was and I said 69 Chevelle.

She said her father has a 1970 four door Biscayne. He ordered it new and has owned it all these years. Engine is a 454, the colour is Dark Blue and there is no power steering. It served as their "family truckster" hauling all the kids around, towed a trailer for a number of years and he also drag raced it way back when. There are apparently a few drag trophies hanging around. Father is now 68 and the car will never be for sale as all four kids want dibs on it.

He parks it in front of his house which is a few miles away from my location. Someday I'll have to go give it a drive-by eyeball. Thought the story was kind of cool.

Cool story Don...don't forget your camera!.

As a side note, we all know they discontinued the Biscayne & BelAir 2-Dr. Sedans for '70 but are the US guys aware the Canadian 2-Dr. BelAirs continued on for 1970 but as a 2-Dr. Hardtop?.
