Chuck, your total lack of class astounds me.

Why didn't you call these COPO heads like all the other parts you have for sale off of this 1969 L/78 el camino? The car is being restored by Bill Rose and it is documented in the Technical and Restoration section of this web site under the heading of "new project coming along". It was your choice to part out a complete project car because you wanted to make more profit. I can not tell you how to run a business because this is just a hobby to me but to phrase an ad as you did is offensive to the people that know the truth.

Chuck, I thought about this for a week now and I would really feel bad if somebody bought these heads based on your claim of them never being touched before you. I thought that the el camino had the small block installed because the 396 motor was worn out and had sealing problems. I also remember some markings on the sides of the heads that I would see if the heads had been at a machine shop and I remember imprints of what appeared to be aftermarket gaskets on both heads. I also remember at least 2 of the exhaust valves being a much lighter color than the others. This usually indicates water in the combustion chamber from either a bad gasket or a crack. I did not have the heads checked out before I shipped them out to you so I can only present my observation but I do not remember them being as nice as you represent.

Your basic lack of knowledge of these cars and parts is most evident in your last post. Its obvious by now,you underestimated the fact that the rough condition Elky you sold was worth less than the parts that were with it,and 2 years later this is an attempt to lash out based on your lack of knowledge of such. The bigger problem is you put pressure on the moderators who have a choice of either deleting your posts as they would for most other members especially based on the user agreement , or to make them seem quite bias and unfair if they allow you to take shot after shot without taking action on posts you have no business in,with statements that arent even fact .When anyone sells a car and later regrets it they need only to look in the mirror to place blame.Lastly, have you seen the specific heads im selling?? Keep in mind ive owned 5 L78s in the past...If you believe white valves means heads could be cracked why didnt you mention that when YOU sold the truck
