Default my introduction.....

hello,

it would be nice to have an introduction or new members column.

i just received a nice pm about how i should update my profile.i thought i would take it a step further and introduce myself.

i really dont like the idea of displaying my name on open public forums.i guese you can say i'm a little paranoid.

but you will get to know me or some already have.

i'm in northern cal.i have been here for quite some time.i have restored many cars mainly chevrolet.

my latest project is the 1968 Z/28 convertible.i have learned quite a bit about z/28's ,camaro's and the controversial issue of re-stamping.....broaching...re-created aged paperwork and recreated protect-o-plates.

beleive me,i have had more than an earfull from many...not just from this site but others as well.

i didnt build the car to sell as a real multi million car.

anyway,i think thats enough for my introdution.

see you guys at the car shows.....

ok,,i really don't know who charley is but if he is close perhaps we can chat at a show over a beer...

i will be going to some of the shows that are local....

i brought this thing to a few shows last year...

it actually took best of show at the san francisco rod and custom show.first in 1961-1969 restored convertible class and then best restored overall....

anything you wanna know i will gladly tell you...well not all! i will not inform anyone as to where the documentation,protect-o-plate or engine broaching was accomplished.....

i just feel this is the right thing to do....

here is the hardtop i built...
original drivetrain
half original interior
fact a/c car.
got it off the original owner in burlingame in 1990
here are pics of the first day i got it and after its has been restored..both the wagon and hardtop was painted by myself in my garage!!!!

my Z/28 convertible was also painted in the garage!!!!

i'm sad to say that Roger the original owner past away before i had the honor of presenting the finished car to him...

the cars name is Sherlock.Roger named it so..and i'll always keep it that way....
