why would any one let a super car like this just rot sitting in knee-high weeds and slowly deteriorating under the weather

I think that car is not a S& M car. It reads it was put together from parts from a S&M car.

Yep...and the car it's being built on appears to be a '67, at least the sheet metal is..

Too bad what was left of the real '68 car is gone...that 60's acid experimentation had it's effect on more than the just the Pepsi generation!.

I never knew the interchangeable frt/rear bumpers on the '67-69 Cuda thing...neat!.

Last I heard, all the 68 S&M cars are accounted for and in good hands. S&M were not known to acid dip their NHRA Legal SS/B Cuda parts.

Their match race cars were another story!
