Jed,
Do you actually have a 3940212 or were you just asking out of curiousity? I've been looking for one of those baffles and would be interested if you are thinking of selling.

Sorry, I myself am looking for one. All I had on my 71 Nova were the remnants of where it was bolted to the frame and the bumper. I am looking for a cross reference number to give a GM dealer.

I just called Dames Chevrolet in Pottstown Pa. and no such luck either. Plus Bob Fisher and El-Mor Chevrolet. Comes up as a dead number.

My cousin has a lot of the old GM numbers books and I'm going to see him tonight to find out if the number had changed at some point. Wish me luck!

Jed & John
That plastic baffle was only known by that part # and used between 1969-72,and wasn't superceded that I can see.Which usually means it saw very limited use in it's day and was not in any demand, even later on in the repro years. Don't confuse your Nova baffle with the one used on the 1969 Camaro #3949856,which is a diffferent design and was made out of metal as well. That pic I posted is Courtesy of Gene SC.He has one on his 1970 Nova and may be able to help both you in reproducing one. READ 3 pages HERE |
