I know its hard to tell without seeing it in person but what do you guys think of this car. This is the max I can spend. I am looking for a driver that I can work on as I go. How about the dealer is anyone familiar with them? What should I look for if I go take a look? Thank you guys I value your opinions. |

It looks like the rear wheel wells are flared. That would indicate alot of bondo.

Well,
What are you into? Just a cool looking 69, or a yenko clone? Clone is a loose word. You can buy a stripe kit for $299.00. Here are some of the sites that I troll for cars: http://www.cars-on-line.com/ch_68-69.html http://www.racingjunk.com http://www.musclecars-and-classics.com/ just a few, also post here in the wanted section, as well as camaros.net (www.camaros.net). As long as you are not looking for a Z, SS or such you should be able to find one in that range with some looking. Ebay is a double edged sword. I have seen some smoking deals on there lately, try friday night or holiday auctions, as they generate less last min bids. What you did here was a good start, find a car you like and ask questions. Remember, if it's too good to be true, it usually is. If not, it's sold ![]() If it's a smoking deal, PM a member here you trust, as sometimes you can start some bidding against yourself, or the seller can be searching these forums and shill bid you up to what he knows you'll spend. Questions are how handy are you, can you do some light mechanical or body work? If that's the case, you may be able to get a driving project for less and finsih it the way you want (in fact I have a running 69 camaro project that was a flood car for sale ![]() Quote from Jerry MacNeish's report (this is in writing in the report): " Rare exterior and interior color combinations with many factory installed options. This is the perfect car for someone on a modest budget." "This car should be brought back to new condition as it represents a nicely optioned car." Rich

Thanks Rich that was a big help. I am looking for a 69, I eventually would like it to have the pro touring look. My father in law will be helping with the project he just bought a 68. I think something with a solid body would be a good start as I would not be able to do much body work. I will continue to look. Thanks again.
