Does anyone know this LS-5 Chevelle on eBay? It seams to be priced right for a #'s matching frame off LS-5. I'm curious why there are no bids and only 1350 hits.
LS-5

Could be ths color. Could be the buildsheet. Make sure the vin number is on the detached upper right hand corner.I thought you swore off green cars!
The pad vin stamp reads "188146839" according to his description. This may be scaring away other bidders but this error is a known anomally for baltimore built cars. When you go to sell it, remember its a car with a "story".....you will have to explain the build sheet and the vin stamp on a car without the original trans and rear. It will sound like a made up car to lots of folks!

Many a high dollar '67 Corvette has changed hands with a tank sticker only and a '67 tank sticker has no VIN on it. Most tank stickers only have an order date and expected date of production.
It would be nice to see a date on the build sheet and tie it in with a production date of the vehcile. I didn't see any date on the build sheet, though. |

I seam to swear off green cars on daily basis so don't hold me to that. I swear a lot in fact. Actually I'm looking at the car for a friend that is talking to the seller about trading a 70 440 6pack Roadrunner for it. I remember you telling me Howard that this vin issue is a known anomaly for Baltimore built cars. There is a vin on the build sheet so.... Was hoping someone on the site might have some first hand knowledge about the car.

I don't have first-hand knowledge of this car, but it has been on ebay before. I believe the same seller had it for sale last year....

There is a date expressed on the buildsheet, and it matches perfectly for this vehicle. |

You're correct, for some reason I posted my comment under the incorrect thread. I thought I was responding to the post about the LS6 with the build sheet that has no VIN. Sorry for the error.
