What are the correct Main Fan Belt and Power Steering Belt P/N's for a 1970 Z-28? Thanks,

The 1970 Z/28 Fan/Alt. belt was originaly part #3953786 and was 3/8" X 44 inches long.Nearly every Chevrolet vehicle w/a V8 small block up to & including 1970 used it.
The Power Steering belt was originaly part #3927158 and was 3/8" X 36-1/4 inches long.Nearly every Chevrolet vehicle w/a V8 small block up to & including 1970 used this as well. |

Did some small blocks come without AIR injection and a smog pump? If so, they would take a shorter belt I would think.

You're right Paul.
I gave you the wrong belt numbers. I have those two used belts hanging here on a wall,and forgot they were taken off of NON A.I.R/solid lifter equipped smallblocks. These are the correct belts for the 1970-74 Z/28 LT-1. *Fan/Alt. w/A.I.R #3883248,later superseded by #9433746.Both measure 3/8 X 47". *Power Steering #3986192,later superseded by #9433723.Both measure 3/8 X 35". |
