Hey Lon, it's nice to see somebody else on this board who is a little fuzzy on their Camaro ID #'s. Now that I own one less Vette, I'm getting the itch for a 69' Yenko or COPO clone (gotta get my MOPAR/BOWTIE ratio back to 50/50). I've got a lot to learn before I'll be comfortable shopping for one though. Sounds like neat find, keep after him.

Steve,
With 257 views and only 1 response I'm beginning to think that we aren't the only ones fuzzy ![]() ![]() Lon

"Found! Sitting in a pasture" for only 4 years? Doesn't seem very notable to me

I'm assuming the 11D is the date code which means it's either an early car(made in Nov 1968) or a very late car(made in Nov 1969). I'll guess it's a 68 made car with the 11D date so therefore it probably didn't have any X code on it. Did you notice an X11 or X55 on the right side of the trim tag? What was the VIN on the dash(that will help determine which year it was made)? If it is an early car then the cowl hood is not original to the car since they did offer that option until Dec I think. Did it have power disc brakes? Did it have a 12 bolt rear and multileaf springs? Did it have factory dual exhaust with the reinforcement plate welded on the driver's side framerail? Did you look to see what the engine code was? People have been building fake SS cars for a long, long time. You need to go back and get more details from the car to hope to determine if it's a real one or not.

since I back by this car today I thought I'd post a pick of it in the pasture. Try to stop by on Tuesday when I go to get Collin.

Lon,
Look on the bright side, at least the grass is short. Not sure if by mower or grazing though. ![]() Steve
