Hi Albert:
I have a used one running on e-bay that I took off a 69 396 . It is complete with both brackets or plates.I am not sure if you need this old style or the pedal mounted one
If it is the other I may have one of those somewhere also

Joe - He needs the later style pedal-mounted variety.

Al - I don't have the switch number handy, but its still available new from GM.

Al, if you need the pedal mounted switch, I have an old used one that you can have for shipping cost. Let me know. Tony

OK my mind is clearing a little..thanks..I thought it mounted by the carb!! but now does it use the same gas pedal as a non auto car?? IE a place to mount the switch??..I will also look to see if there is a auto chevelle at Musclepalooza on Sun and I can see how it is set up.

Novas used the carb mounted switch in 68 & 69....some very early 70 cars have also been reported to use the carb switch...both my 70 th400 cars(jan/july) have the pedal mounted switch...not sure why it wouldn't be the same for other 69 models...I can probably bring both switches tomorrow if you want to compare...let me know.

Hi Tom:
I didnot want to say anything to confuse the issue since I really don't know what they did in 69 on chevelle and camaro but the one I have listed is off a 69 396 325 hp out of a 69 chevelle. It is a early casting. The 69 truck 396 I am starting to part also has one on the carb and it is original.
Is it possible they followed the nova pattern and switched the style mid year or late 69.
Just another reason for me to love M22's more.
One other thing I have not seen before is one of these 69 engines has factory spark plug shields installed different shape than the ones on my 66 and unlike the ones I see all the time for 73 and up.
