Hi Albert:
I have a used one running on e-bay that I took off a 69 396 . Joe - He needs the later style pedal-mounted variety.
Al - I don't have the switch number handy, but its still available new from GM.

Novas used the carb mounted switch in 68 & 69....some very early 70 cars have also been reported to use the carb switch...both my 70 th400 cars(jan/july) have the pedal mounted switch...not sure why it wouldn't be the same for other 69 models...I can probably bring both switches tomorrow if you want to compare...let me know.

I didnot want to say anything to confuse the issue since I really don't know what they did in 69 on chevelle and camaro but the one I have listed is off a 69 396 325 hp out of a 69 chevelle.It is a early casting. The 69 truck 396 I am starting to part also has one on the carb and it is original. ![]() ![]() Is it possible they followed the nova pattern and switched the style mid year or late 69. Just another reason for me to love M22's more. One other thing I have not seen before is one of these 69 engines has factory spark plug shields installed different shape than the ones on my 66 and unlike the ones I see all the time for 73 and up. |
