Just wondering what you guys are using to clean and protect your tires. I am real old school I guess still cleaning them with spray 9 and a brush followed by either Maguires spray or liquid but I find they collect a lot of dust and I am not happy with the look.At least I don't use mop magic any more

This could run 10 pages! 303 Protectant is good. If you can find the Michelin crap you can bet it won't harm your tires.

-----You may have seen Adams car products advertised this past year. I tried a few of thier products, among them thier tire dressing. Not too shiny, not greasy, doesnt show fingerprints, and turns a tire as black as can be had. You apply it with a supplied foam sponge so overspray is eradicated. Love the stuff
-----Thier detail spray is excellent as well. I buy it by the gallon. -----Id love to take this opportunity to thank who ever it was that mentioned using a heat gun to get rid of mold wax on tires. I have avoided certain brands of tires for years because they seemed to never look good because of mold wax, and those days are over. If you havent tried it yet,,,do!.........Bill S |

I've been using the 303 product as well...Very nice stuff and does not give you the wet drippy caked on look.I just tried Vinylex and I'm very impressed with it also. Both products I like to spray on a terry cloth towel and rub it into the tires, not just spray it on and let cake up...

I have used just about everything on the shelf. For the white letters I use Wesley's Bleach White and a stiff brush. For just general cleaning of tires I use The Griot's rubber cleaner and the same brush. Now for the protecting I have tried them all.. High shine, low Shine, Gel , foam , Pump spray, aersol can..etc. They all seem to get dusty after a week or so. I like Meguire's insane shine on my Hummer. Armor all Foam on the Camaro (it's more of a dull finish)..and the Work car gets whatever I didn't like on the other two cars. Now for wheels I have not found a product I like. Until I do I'm using the car wash soap and a older wash mit. A plus to this is that the car wash soap won't remove the wax applied on the rims.
