Default "Beaches are softened": AZ collectors eyes-only!

Engaged MVD this a.m. and had a pleasant surprise wrt registration and emissions exemption. Was loaded for bear, including a print out of the ADEQ website. The MVD rep had done her 1st emissions exemption for collector cars yesterday. She asked for additional help from her supervisor and a newby was looking over their shoulders for OJT. My cars are insured with Tamra (MK Insurance) and her policy clearly states "collector car insurance" which the supervisor said was key to her. Not antique, or vintage, or anything else. Therefore, no special letters required from her as someone suggested earlier. My insurance cards (3X4") do not indicate "collector insurance" so that is why I took the policy with me. In addition to handling my registration promptly, they coded the other cars on the policy as exempt so that I could register them on-line in the future.

All in all a good experience. Thanks to others for the heads up.
