So I have several cars from several different manufacturers. No real brand loyalty here; I just buy what's available and what I like. However, I've toyed with the idea of buying, building, and/or cloning my way to the ultimate collection of "musclecars." Figured I needed one from each manufacturer (only one Mopar and Ford/Merc b/c they use the same engines), and only intermediates (no ponycars). Here's what I came up with -
1. Pontiac: '69 or '70 RAIV GTO 2. Buick: '70 GS Stage 1 3. Olds: '70 442 W30 4. Mopar: '67-'70 B Body with a hemi 5. Ford: '67 Fairlane with 427 or '64 Thunderbolt 6. Chevy: '70 LS6 Chevelle If I sold most of my cars I might be able to pull it off. Any thoughts? What did I leave out? Scott

![]() ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Well, it may be the ultimate car, but not sure if I would call it a musclecar. I certainly can't afford a real one, and I think the clones (aluminum body cars) are also over six figures. Scott

I guess if you were to add an AMC, per your "no ponycar" rule, you'd have to add a Rebel Machine.

if your looking for the fastest production car from each brand than yes a Rebel Machine is needed in your collection

Excuse my ignorance on AMC products but is a Rebel Machine really faster than a '69 Hurst Rambler? I've just never paid much attetion to them. How fast are they?

If you leave out pony cars you only have 1/2 of a collection!

[/ QUOTE ] I am not that familiar with AMC products but, I would think the S/C Rambler would be faster that The Machine but, due to the "no ponycars" stipulation, I don't think it fits in with the grouping of cars. |

They were both 14 second cars out of the box.
