It was announced yesterday that Ewing Chevrolet in downtown Canton Ohio since 1932, with roots in the area dating back to 1914, will close do to poor sales.
More than a few COPO Camaros and Chevelles were sold here from what the local guys have told me. At one time back in the day they had a seperate show area for the Muscle Cars call the Sports Dept. It was also the place to get all your neat counter parts for you cars. A sad day in Mudville ! This is a shot of a Ewing sticker on an original windscreen from a 69 COPO Camaro I restored last year for a local collector. Mike ![]() |

Mike,
Sad news indeed. And on their 75th anniversary to boot!! My L78 "300" was delivered new at Ewing. Would be interested in any old memorabilia from the shop. Thanks for the posting.
