Default ZL-1 #22

Hopefully the pictures will post. These are pictures of ZL-1 #22 that was a part of the family that got away...I know we all hear about them. I am new to the site and have a collection of 60's muscle cars and have enjoyed the site over the years. My brotherinlaw always used to tell me a story about his brother owning a gray 69 camaro and at one time it supposedly had some special engine and it didnt have any striping or SS emblems, just a plain jane as he called it. Well, 2 years ago at a Christmas family gathering the camaro story came up, and curiosity got the best of me and decided to do some research. His brother who lived in Madison purchased the car in the seventies and raced it at Marion SD and then decided to put larger tires under it...yikes..and started to cut the back floor out..double yikes..anyway the car got parked until some guy named Dave started calling him in the early 80's to sell the car, sometimes twice a month, and he eventually caved in and sold it. From my research it did not have the original engine in it when he had it, but I have heard rumors of the original engine in a museum, and no the car is not for sale. Pictures are from him when he raced it in the seventies.
