On 2-23-77 my dad ordered a 1977 Z/28. He took posession on 5-20-77. The car was black on black with the orange and red stripes. The only options on the car were tinted glass, console, posi rear, AM radio and HD radiator. It had the LM1 350 and M-21 close ratio 4 speed. The VIN of the car is 1Q87L7L612296. The car was sold around 1980 to an airman who was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha NE. The gentleman was from Texas. Any help in locating this car is GREATLY appreciated.

since you still know the vin you can do a title search in the state it was last registerd in or try to locate that owner since you still know his name.A title search is your best bet.

Unfortunately I do not know the name of the guy who bought the car from dad. Dad said he never saw the car again after he sold it. I do not know if the car was registered in Nebraska or if the buyer did it in his home state (dad thinks he was from Texas)
