Default 69 Camaro 427 fender emblem in place of 396 emblem

Does anybody know what 427 emblems were used on the Baldwin Motion modified 1969 Camaros? I have tried a couple different emblems and they do not cover the 396 holes or they are to big and interfere with the side marker lamp. The 396 emblems were 4-3/8 inches wide by 3/4 on an inch tall with the 2 pins on the top corners of both ends.

The Dick Harrell car that was at SCR9 this year had 427 emblems on the front fenders by the headlights. The 427 emblems left the hole that was closest to the front exposed. I talked with Joe Swezey about the hole being exposed. He said that it being left "open" was correct.

In fact, it was really cool talking to Joe at SCR9. What a wealth of knowledge

If I remember right (which may or may never happen ) The "4" in the 427 is extremely close to the side marker lamp....

Thank you Bruce for the information. Your coverage of the Super car show was the best and I appreciated it very much. Please let me know when you come back out to southern California. I have been scouting different local car get togethers. I was at one in Newport Beach last Saturday morning. These people only live a few miles south of me but they are totally different than me. I am bringing a camera this week end because nobody would belive me with out pictures. These people have unlimited resources and it was interesting to see their idea of a neat car.

The fathom blue 69 B/M car that was formerly owned by LVCamaro used the red 427 portion of the 68 Impala "SS427" emblems, the numerals were cut away from the SS portion and "tweaked" to fit the contour of the fender. There were original photos of the car that showed these emblems were used from new. I believe I've seen other B/M cars that used this same method.
