Default Would you like to buy a new 1957 Chevy?

http://5thgencamaro.blogspot.com/200...957-chevy.html

First Dynacorn Classic Bodies Inc. brought us new/reproduction shells to restore your 1969 Camaro. Now Detroit based C.A.R.S Inc. is bringing you the classic 1957 Chevy Convertible!

With the official announcement at the 2006 Woodward Dream Cruise, All of the '57 Chevy Convertible bodies built by CARS Inc. start with an original '57 Chevy Cowl (dash, A-pillar and firewall). The remaining panels will be direct replacement reproduction sheet metal. This allows C.A.R.S. inc to keep the original VIN number intact retaining the original/restored classification.

Visit their website for more information as well as many more images: www.1957chevybody.com

Wow!! You can bet some of these will show up at Barrett Jackson as $100k plus resto's.

I know they are making 1969 Camaro convertibles and hardtops, but are they also making a 1967 Camaro?

I haven't seen any 67 bodies yet.

Not much of a difference between what we have already seen on the Auction block, except these will have modern chassis/powertrain setups. Should be remarkable cars IMO.

I wonder what the supply of rusted cowls is out there...

Forget the cowls! The real issue will be of those collecting VIN & cowl tags.

I was hoping they would be priced similar to the repop Camaro bodies. They are not. The repop '57 vert starts around $35,000 for the body only. No thanks.

We have assembled the first 67 Camaro and have finished building the car turn key for Dynacorn on Chop, Cut, and Rebuild.

The 67 camaro bodies are on there way. There are some pictures posted on our website www.americanmusclecars.net under the Chop, Cut, and Rebuild logo. However, being the west coast manufacture of these bodies if there are specific questions or pictures you would like to see, please let me know.
