Default A few monsoon pics!

Welcome to Arizona...land of ever changing weather! On Monday we had a high in our neighborhood of 120 degrees...yea!

Tonight, the monsoons fired up...

Here's the calm before the storm. It's the one really cool thing about living here. This is the norm!

........and what ever you do, heed the warnings about NOT parking in the dips in the road. Flash floods in the middle of the desert are deadly! If you have ever heard and then witnessed a 10' wall of water rushing down a wash in the middle of the desert, you will have a new found appreciation for them! I laughed at my brother when he warned me about them. I am no longer laughing.

The storm lasted until 4am this morning(AZ time).

In certain areas, washes were overflowing (Chandler, Glibert, Mesa) power lines and trees are down everywhere

Rick is right about the washes. There are a few deaths every year in this area...from people who don't heed the warnings
