I don't think the rebels or the other AMC's are ugly with the exception of the Marlin! Not saying the Marlin was Ugly but I sure would not want to own one,on the other hand the Rebels and the little Red ,White and Blue 69 AMC could come on over to my garage anytime.I have even tossed around finding a 69 AMC and making my own version of the car.Big block 496 chevy with a turbo 400 trans! Should be a SCREAMER!

The Marlin tries hard to look the best he can,and should be judged more for his character and contributions among the Deuce contingent..

Yea, don't be so hard on the Marlin - it's a tough world these days

I believe the Machine had the highest factory rated HP output of any other AMC @340HP. This was acheived through a unique intake (cast iron) and unique exhaust manifolds. I believe they ran a FoMoCo 4bl carb as with other 4bl AMC V8s that year (1970). I'm pretty sure they ran the same cam as all other 390's. Wheels and trim rings from what I've seen go for pretty good money these days. Enjoy your new ride.

So now you're known as "The Marlin"?
Been hangin' with "The Donald" eh? (at least you have better hair!)

Hey Howie, you gonna chime in and admit to owning a Rebel Machine? Actually, I always liked them.
