Default 2006 York Musclecar Show

Here we are safe and sound back in La Harpe after a swell week-end in York, Pa.. The show was great and the people greater......Thanks, Brian, for all the arrangements that you made for my Nova. You are always so friendly and it is a real joy to spend time with you and your crew.We always look forward to seeing all of you......A VERY, VERY special thanks to you special guys that took the time to plan a belated "Birthday" surprise for me!!!First, you had the announcer of the event come to see me at my Nova. After a few pleasant words he joined the crowd in singing "Happy Birthday". And then Lonetta Simmons, a sweet, sweet lady, came forward with a cake that she had baked and decorated for me (and I know it was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten) and everyone shared. Three men stepped foward voluntarily and sang the song again! NEAT! I thank everyone!.....I want to say that you "guys" are the greatest and I will never forget this kind event. This world would be better if there were more people like you. Thanks again!......By the way, I finally know who "Wilma" is without asking someone to tell me. "Thanks", too, to Wilma! (HA) Helen Gibb

Cool to see you post Helen. It sounds like you had a great time. You're right...all the people on this site are awesome...it makes this site what it is

I'm looking forward to seeing you (again) at SCR9, too.

BTW, now I know where Charley got his "[HA]" from...

May be the start of something big. In fact, I would not be surprised to see the cacklefest replaced by a medley of songs performed by members of the sYc.

BTW, Helen, glad you enjoyed the show. Here's to many more birthdays.
