Trying to decipher date on a BB smog pump...D03841R
not sure how to read it..any help would be great. wilma

I'm pretty sure that decodes as:
D=Day shift or Line assembled on 038=day of year-February 7th 4=Year-1974 or 1984 1=first shift R=plant code-in this case,could stand for either Muncie or Saginaw |

Rick, found this link from the CRG website....
http://www.camaros.org/emissions.shtml have to look at this pump closer..supposed to have come off an original 68 BB car.. wilma

If it came from a 1968,it will have the pop off Valve on top too.
Can you see the pump casting number as well? |
