Anyone know if the 1st gen shoulder harness' are the same as for 1970 Camaros?

Although the 68 and 69 standard shoulder harness will fit they are held in place to the roof using a different system. The 1st gen's had the metal clips and the 70 Camaro used the coat hook and plastic clip in combination to hold the shoulder belt. The 70 belt also had an elastic band that held it tight to the clips.
The 1st gen shoulder belt will bolt up to the mounting point in the roof but you need the elastic band to hold it in place. Rick H. |
