Default USA1 license plates

I had a really nice USA1 plate I got from a dealer in 67 that said "Built by the #1 Team" across the bottom and the #1 was the angled 1 with the bowtie in it like on the big block Tonawanda stickers. It was stolen and I was never able to find one like it. The next one I got said "Putting you first keeps us first" on the bottom. I believe this is a 69 issue. Does any one here have a collection of these or know the history of these plates? Thanks, Frank Payne

#1 Team plate. This one was on my car when I purchased the vehicle in 1983.

I wonder what year these became avaiable?

Jim. I sold one of those plate on Ebay still in its wrapper a few months ago. I got pretty good $$ for it too. I got it in the mid 70's
