Ya never know. I always made it a habit to call their bluff. I found a 1970 plum crazy Cuda Convertible that way once. A very "down-home, back-woodsy" looking guy took a look at my 440-Six Barrel Cuda Convertible at a show and said "I got one of them in my back yard." I was the only one who ever took the time to talk with him and ended up buying the car for $800, complete with a custom switch panel that shut off the tail lights and brake lights on command. A real life rum-running car!

My dad bought a 40 Ford Sedan delivery... when we started taking it apart we noticed that the spare tire well had a tank with quick dump valve that could be opened from the drivers seat. A switch to turn the tail and brake lights off. Best of all when we pulled the engine... it had a Shaeffer (sp) Aluminum Flywheel... a 4" Mercury Crank off set gound to 4-1/8 and 4-1/8 bores all with a 3/4 race cam.
That was one hell-uv-a Flatmotor.
Boy wish we had some picture of some of the cars we junked out over the years.

I know of a field that has houses now where we all use to dump our old blown motors and there were some good ones..
