Yes, that is the pace car that Year One restored. I believe that is Bill France Sr. and not Henry Ford II. Further back in those rows of cars is my Z-28.

------If you look at the hood on the Year-One sight of the unrestored pace-car you can see the two sort of triangle shaped areas that were red on the first picture. They arent red, just less destroyed white. The red on the 1st. pic might have simply been vinyl, and protected the white underneath to some extent. Very cool old Camaro. I didnt look, does Year One still have the car??????..........Bill S

I could look at those Vintage T/A pictures for hours on end... the history... the inginuity... the relization that you could go down to the Local Chevrolet Dealer and drive off the lot in a car that needed only minor preparation in order to race ... and be fairly competitive... too bad you can't do that now... unless you are buying a Porsche GT3! Factory Roll Cage, Racing Seats, Harnesses, air jacks, BBS 3 pc wheels. All for about $200K

Bill, good observation on the rusted hood of the pace car. I see where the red was.
