I bought a 69 Impala SS big block convert with a 163 intake so i assumed it had rectangle port heads. When i pulled the valve covers off to check the dates i could'nt believe it ,it have oval port heads. That was last winter and the first time i ever seen that.It ran ok but i cant believe that the air flow was wasnt all goofy!

I have seen it done many times. So the car will run. I can't believe it helps performance in any way, in fact you would think should hinder it.
