Default muncie trans question

I have a 67 010 cast close ratio muncie from my 67 chevelle just wandering why its date stamped p0606 my car is a 07 build car i have seen some other 67 cases stamped with the 7 after the p but this is the second 1 i have had like this????

Looks like it is a 1966 010 case. The 67s started out P7XXXX and the 66's are coded like above (PXXXX)
