Default Mind Bender II

I know I should wait to show the pictures until I have it all back together and cleaned up... but I can't wait, I'm too excited...

After a year, it is finally painted and the panels fitted back together. It is dusty and has buffing compound on it in places in this picture... Today it will get the final buffing, washed and waxed... and *finally* comes back home to me to start putting everything else back together...

It still has the built small block in it... it will have to wait until next year to get the big block... already blown the budget for this car, this year (and I am still in the process of the big block upgrade on the Maco).

Yeah... and right now, just a cosmetic clone... some day a more complete mechanical clone as well.

Here are pictures of it right before I loaded it on my trailer to pull home today...

Thanks

I know it's look isn't for everybody, but it sure in the heck is exactly right for me... I knew it the instant I saw the magazine with Mind Bender on the cover of it.

Now if I can get it all back together, get the Maco back together and the updates we are doing to the '01, it will make an awesome photo (all 3 are black).

Also, starting in January, I'll be resuming ownership of my son's '65 Malibu SS (along with his Ninja) when he moves out to San Francisco... I'll start rebuilding the Malibu then... it will become a black beauty as well.

Lucky it's done in 60's fashion or it would never get on the trailer.
Great looking car. Enjoy the heck out of it (i.e. - drive the wheels off her.)

It didn't make it on the trailer like that... Those photos were taken while my son went home with the truck to get the extended ramps...

Yes, I plan on both driving it and showing it. I already have one garage baby (the Maco) that I'm scared to drive around, afraid that something will happen to it.
