Nothing you listed is LS-6 specific.
Except that Tach number...#983 is indeed a 6500 redline tach.
Also I see it is a Baltimore,Md. Plant Chevelle.
Tell us more when you can.

Wouldn't that DA smog pulley be a deep groove and confirm it as a LS6 since it is a 454 car ?

Yes..That "DA" Pulley & the Longer "YE" Fan Smog belt as well.
Correction on the statement I made about the M-22 trans.,it was also available on the LS-5 too,not just LS-6 ONLY.
But Patricks codes show this is a 1970 LS-6 Chevelle to me.

I went and looked at the car again today!! Here is some more information.

Body by Fisher Tag

ST70 13637 B833755 BDY
Tr 756 58 58 PNT
2A B D 0100

Hurst Shifter looks original to me. White knob R 1 3
2 4
Supposably a 66 or 67 427/425hp motor.
On the front of the block I.D. Pad reads TI 230 ID
Intake has a snow flake type casting on it.

Question Rick? You noted above White interior. How did you determine that. Has a black interior now. Looks like a 41,000 mile car without original engine and transmission. Comes with engine I described above, with closed chamber heads. Didn't get casting #'s. Any more opinions. Has a partial buid sheet found in the car. the last 4 digits of the vin # are the only ones I can see on the buid sheet. Its been torn in half. Vin# is 136370B14----. Thanks, Patrick

Cowl tag sounds proper.
Autumn Gold paint is nice.
Get a casting date from that block,to determine if 1966-67,or 68.
Sorry about the Interior translation.
LP Pad #052 translates to a Black Dash Pad,which both Black & White interiors used.
I have a chart showing the interior color codes from all the factories and didn't see the shared code.

Can you make out anymore of the last of the VIN#?
I have two LS-6 sheets that come close to yours in that time frame that probably were built the same day.

I'm not sure if you know this, but the LS6 originally would have come with a Muncie shifter, not a Hurst. The Hurst may have been installed by the original owner on "day 2", but it's not original. My LS6 has a Hurst shifter with an original chrome ball, but it's an aftermarket install.
